As a Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) firm, Springfield focuses on more than the performance of the end product; we optimize our designs for maximum efficiency in manufacturing. DFM requires constant collaboration between machinists and programmers, designers and engineers. 

In our shop, there is constant foot traffic between the design office and the shop floor. Machinists and programmers are constantly coming in to ask questions and get clarification from the engineers and designers, and the engineers and designers are constantly going to the shop floor to problem solve and give input. This is essential to our ability to provide the high level of service and quality our customers have come to expect..
